Spidex Software has announced the release of EPRAIS 1.9, the latest version of its health & safety management suite. EPRAIS comprises a wide-ranging set of modules that include management of risk assessments, work permits, incident logging and accident investigation.
The new version of EPRAIS includes a number of significant enhancements designed to further improve user experience. These include a revamped document library, sophisticated new searching capabilities and an simplified “user-defined field” designer.
One of the headline new features is the “Airside Occurrence” module. Designed specifically for use in aviation environments, it enables comprehensive logging of incidents that occur in areas of the airport accessible to aircraft, which include runways, taxiways and aprons.
The reporting of airside occurrences is mandatory under European law. The new EPRAIS module ensures that all relevant material pertaining to such an event – including video evidence, details of follow-up actions and the outcome of investigations – can be collated in a secure digital repository for future reference.
Commenting on the new release, Spidex Managing Director Jonathan Starling said: “EPRAIS is already being used successfully in a wide variety of operating environments, from airports to food manufacturing to heavy industry. This latest stage in its evolution confirms EPRAIS as the most exciting and innovative health & safety management system currently available.”
